The possum checks the prices while you sleep.

Possum watches the groceries you actually buy at Coles, Woolworths and ALDI. Every night it checks. When your stuff goes on special, you get a morning roundup.

How it works

  1. Whenever

Tap ♡ on what you buy

Search Coles, Woolworths and ALDI in one place and watch the things that end up in your trolley every week. The coffee. The nappies. The good peanut butter.

  2. Overnight

    The possum raids the prices

While you sleep, Possum checks the price of everything you watch at all three supermarkets, and notes exactly when it checked.

  3. 7:30 am

    You get a morning roundup

If something you watch went on special, one tidy notification turns up with breakfast. Nothing changed? No ping. Wednesday’s usually the big one.

What the possum brings back

Everything you need to shop the specials, and nothing that makes you feel like you’re doing homework.

Your watchlist, and a roundup with your coffee

Watch the things you buy. When any of them go on special, the possum leaves you a morning roundup: one notification, around 7:30, and only on days something changed.

Care about one thing a lot? Star it for an alert the moment it drops. Everything also lands in your in-app inbox.

Buy now, or wait a week?

Possum looks at how often each thing goes on special and how low it usually gets. “Usually half price about every 6 weeks at Woolworths” is your cue to skip the full-price jar.

It only says this once there’s enough real price history, and it always shows what it’s based on.

Price history for every store

A year of prices per supermarket, on one screen. Shaded weeks were on special. Days we couldn’t check are marked on the chart, not papered over.

Split the shop, only when it’s worth the trip

Make a list and Possum works out the cheapest way to buy it: all at one supermarket, or split across two. A second stop only gets suggested when the saving clears your own “worth a trip” amount.

A shared shopping list split across Woolworths and Coles, comparing the cost at each supermarket, with a note that ALDI wasn’t worth an extra stop.

Stock up when staples hit half price

Laundry liquid, dishwasher tablets, the coffee you’d buy anyway. When something that keeps goes half price, Possum gives you a nudge to grab a few.

One plan for the whole household

Shopping lists are shared, so whoever’s at the shops has the list. Everyone you invite gets Plus. Watchlists stay personal, so your partner’s energy drinks don’t clog up your alerts.

About the data

Possum is only useful if you can trust it. So here’s the fine print, up front.

How our prices work

Checked overnight
Every night the possum reads the Coles, Woolworths and ALDI websites. Every price shows when it was checked.
Check at the shelf
Prices can change, and your store can differ from the website.
Usually, not always
Insights like “usually half price every 6 weeks” come from prices we’ve actually seen, and show what they’re based on. Not enough history yet? We say so instead of guessing.
Savings, measured honestly
Against the regular shelf price we saw, never a shop’s “was” price.
Intelligence, not a store
We don’t sell groceries. Possum isn’t affiliated with Coles, Woolworths or ALDI.

Questions

The things people ask, answered straight.

When can I get it?

Possum is in testing on iPhone right now. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you when it’s on the App Store.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. iPhone comes first, and Android is on the list for later.

Where do the prices come from?

Every night Possum reads the public product pages on the Coles, Woolworths and ALDI websites, and keeps each price with the time it was checked. Every price in the app shows when it was checked.

Will the price be the same in my store?

Often, but not always. Your local store can differ from the website, and prices can change during the day. Possum shows when each price was checked, so check at the shelf before you buy.

How much will I save?

Honestly? It depends on what you buy, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Possum tells you when the things you buy are on special and how often they usually are, so you can time your shop. Any savings it shows are measured against the regular shelf price we actually saw.

Is Possum part of Coles, Woolworths or ALDI?

No. Possum isn’t affiliated with Coles, Woolworths or ALDI. We don’t sell groceries either. We’re intelligence, not a store.

What’s free, and what’s in Plus?

Free lets you browse prices at all three supermarkets and watch up to 5 items, with a Wednesday roundup. Plus is $2.99 a month for you, or $4.99 a month for your whole household. It unlocks unlimited watches, morning roundups any day something changes, full price history, and hints on your lists. Try it free for a month.

How does the Household plan work?

One person subscribes for $4.99 a month and invites the household with a code. Everyone who joins gets Plus and shares the shopping lists. Watchlists and alerts stay personal.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions go through Apple, so you cancel in iOS Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before your free month ends and you won’t be charged.

What do you do with my data?

Only what’s needed to run Possum. We don’t sell it, and there are no third-party ad trackers. Our servers are in Sydney. The privacy policy has the details.

Why a possum?

Possums come out at night and raid the pantry. Ours raids the supermarkets’ prices while you sleep, then leaves you a roundup by morning. No pantries were harmed.
